Vlad Taltos' first boss in the Jhereg. Nielar probably could have advanced higher in the Organization after the death of Welok the Blade, but he preferred to stay out of the spotlight. Vlad eventually became his boss, instead. Nielar ran a shereba parlor, and was the only one of Vlad's employees to pay his cut promptly after Vlad's first week in operation. It was Nielar who first teamed Vlad with Kragar. Presumably, Nielar was a friend of Kiera the Thief, since she arranged with Nielar for Vlad's initial Employment.
