Packs of Nails are often used in addition to a crafting skill. For example, in order to craft a raft with the Woodcrafting skill, you must have eight logs and three packs of nails. They are used to to make certain tools as well. Packs of Nails can be made at level four tinkering from an ingot or they can be bought from the General Store for 10 g p. Since ingots are usually priced at around 33 gp on the Player Market and one ingot is used to make one pack of nails, it is substantially unprofitable for one to craft their own packs.
