Graal'diin was a planet under the control of the Galactic Empire. Brenn and Dellis Tantor were told that their father died in a Rebel attack while delivering grain to the planet, but that was in fact a lie designed to cover the fact that the Empire had had him executed for losing his cargo to pirates. The Empire wished to make an example of him to ensure that other freighter pilots would go to great lengths to protect their cargo.
