Dražen Petrović (October 22, 1964 – June 7, 1993) was a Croatian basketball player. In 1989, he signed with the Portland Trail Blazers from 1989-1992 in the 1992 Olympics he was choosen for the Croatian national team; also in the summer he signed with the New Jersey Nets. He lead to a 43-39 record, but lost 3-1 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the summer of 1993, he was killed in a car crash.
