A White Blast Shield is a door lock found in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. It is made from a powerful alloy that is strong but very brittle if exposed to extreme cold. As such it is vulnerable to the Ice Missile. It remains unknown whether an Ice Beam could open a White Blast Shield, but unlikely. The White Blast Shield has four different shapes for the shape of the door it is covering, one for Bryyonian doors, one for Galactic Federation doors, one for Space Pirate Homeworld doors, and one for Elysian doors.
