The Native Village is home to N. Sanity Island's tribesmen. It first appeared in Crash Bandicoot. The Native Village is surrounded by a large wooden gate (often referred to as The Great Gate or the Native Fortress). In the first game, there were two separate parts of the Native Village: the first one being to climb up to the Great Gate and the second one being to run through part of the village on a wild hog. The levels were full of traps varying from tribesfolk armed with red shields to big spike columns.
