In Christian demonology (Late Medieval- Early Modern European), Scox (Shax, Chax, Shan, Shass, Shaz) is a demon with the rank of Great Marquis of Hell (and in some accounts, Duke), commanding 30 legions of demons. He is depicted as a stork which speaks with a hoarse yet subtle voice, but once inside a magic triangle (read further on), his voice will clear up. At his conjurer's request, he can take away sight, hearing, or coherence from anyone they wish and can also steal money from the houses of kings, not to mention stealing horses. He can also find hidden things for the conjurer (but only if those things are not hidden by other evil spirits). He can provide high-quality Familiars to a conjurer, but sometimes those familiars can deceive a conjurer. He is a great liar unless he is brought
