The Chancellery Secretariat was the area located directly beneath the Grand Convocation Chamber, in the Senate Building on Coruscant. It contained the Chancellor's holding office. The Secretariat suite was a collection of chambers used by the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic before and after sessions of Congress. The holding office contained the Chancellor's Podium, which rose directly into the center of the Senate chamber for meetings. The Secretariat suite complemented the Chancellor's formal office in the Republic Executive Building.
