Carraig Ó Franklinn was a founding member and first party leader of the Social Liberal Party in Kirlawa. Since 2440, he has been a member of the assembly representing a seat in the northern suburbs of Salubris. After a poor showing in the 2453 election, Ó Franklinn resigned as party leader, but continued to remain a member of the assembly with significant influence in both the SLP and then the SL-RI Coalition until his death in 2465.
