Daniel Portman (born 13 February 1992) is a Scottish actor. He appeared in the 2010 movie Outcast and has a role in the upcoming 2012 film The Angels' Share. Portman initially wanted to be a professional rugby player until he broke his leg in a match when he was 16 years old. He studied acting at the Paisley Reid Kerr College. In Game of Thrones he is playing the role of Podrick Payne. He was announced in the role on 24 August 2011. He joined the cast as a guest star in the second season. Daniel's father, Ron Donachie also appeared on the series as Rodrik Cassel in Season 1 and Season 2.
