It is one of the most affordable RG models with a double locking tremolo bridge. Other features include a basswood body, a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and pickguard-mounted Ibanez pickups. Two different versions were produced for different markets: a version with an ILT1 tremolo and a version with an Edge III tremolo. In 2010 two new finishes were introduced: Beam Blue and Orange. The GRG250P was discontinued after 2011, in all markets except China and Southeast Asia.
