Dark Fruit is first introduced later on in chapter 2 of the game, on the planet Juraika. The villagers are being poisoned and killed by this mysterious fruit. It is later figured out to be spores of the Individer. The Dark Fruit has capabilities to transform enemies into monsters, like the Mud Whooper shown above. If you return to the village after defeating the Individer, one villager will say that the villagers are starting to avoid the fruit.
