Spider-Man is a subtheme of the Spider-Man released in 2002, based on the first film of the Spider-Man franchise. Columbia Pictures signed a deal with LEGO to produce sets based upon the film. The first sets were featured under the Studios theme and included directors and actors. After, in 2003, the sets were no longer part of the Studios theme, and focused on recreating the movie events from the first Spider-Man film with LEGO, like the majority of movie based LEGO sets. In 2004, with the release of the Spider-Man 2 subtheme, the Spider-Man theme was disbanded.
