In the first screen of Azha Village there is a man standing up on a platform to the left, clapping his hands. Run behind the platform until you can jump up to speak to him. Bring him Rock Salt and he will reward you for each one. You'll get Scale Mail in return for the first Rock Salt, and 150 G each time you give him another afterwards.
