The Commissioner for Justice, Freedom, & Security is the member of the European Commission, who addresses such issues as judicial, human rights, equality laws, immigration control, policing and citizenship. In 2010 the post was split into the Commissioner for Home Affairs (the security aspect) and the Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship (the human rights aspect).
