The unnamed Registrar worked at the Weatherfield Register Office in the late-2000s. In March 2009, he officiated at Steve McDonald and Becky Granger's wedding, but had to endure a delay because of Becky's lateness. When Becky arrived drunk, the Registrar refused to perform the ceremony, quipping that it was Weatherfield, not Las Vegas. In January 2010, the Registrar married Joe McIntyre and Gail Platt. The wedding went perfectly.
