I-9 was an asteroid that was located near to the center of the Cularin system asteroid belt. By the time of the waning years of the Galactic Republic, the Darkstaff, a powerful dark side artifact had came to be located within I-9, and in circa 31 BBY, the Human Len Markus traveled to the asteroid and seized the Darkstaff.
