"Space Fortress Macross" is the first pilot episode of what would become Robotech, made out of the first few episodes of the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross. It is a far more direct and faithful adaptation, featuring many pieces of dialogue which were either cut or heavily edited for the final version of the show. It still featured many of the Western names for characters.
