Everbright was a quality that could be applied to metal armor or weapons. The technique was well known by the sun elves of Evermeet. It made the item incredibly shiny and untarnishable, immune to rust and corrosion. When applied to weapons, the wielder could make it flash an extremely bright light twice per day, possibly dazzling those nearby.
