An assault fleet was a formation of the Imperial Navy commanded by a fleet admiral. It was comprised of two transport forces, two force escorts, a force technical services, and a force support, for an average of 376 starships. Assault fleets were designed to adhere to the "1/4/16/64 Plan," which was the notion of being able to conduct multiple mission profiles with the resources at hand. The plan advocated that an assault fleet should be able to carry out one corps-level operation, four battlegroup-level operations, sixteen regimental-level operations, and sixty-four battalion-level missions.
