Frank Nesbit was the campaign manager for the murdered New York City Councilman Jeff Horn in Hell Hath No Fury. Having hitched his wagon to Horn's star, he was utterly invested in the councilman's success, and gave Horn's campaign for re-election his all. Sadly, Horn himself was somewhat less focused on the task at hand, and got involved in an affair, the fallout from which - blackmail, scandal and divorce - would undoubtedly have sunk his campaign without trace.
