Gray is a traveler who will visit your store when he comes to Clover Town. He's a serious-minded guy who doesn't like small talk much. If you try to converse with him, he'll remind you that you have work to do. He apparently isn't all that pleased with his sister, Ann's attempts to become an ice cream taster.
