Sam discovers his missing bell is being used in the village store. Alison asks Henry to buy a blouse for her whilst he's in London. Reverend Ruskin requests a word with Ruth when he finds out that she's divorced Tom. A disgruntled Sam goes to the police about the bell, but they aren't interested. Janie tells Frank that she's pregnant and is relieved when he takes the news well.
