Sangwaan was a female human diviner or shugenja. Sangwaan wore a blindfold but seemed mostly unhampered by it due to her oracular magic—though she occasionally needed to be pointed in the direction of those to whom she was speaking. She was a top aide to Lord Hinjo, providing him with magical intelligence in the hours leading up to the Battle of Azure City.
