Miya Takura was the eldest son of the resident samurai of Koujou village, Miya Kishin. He and his brother Miya Kuboti helped the aging, semi-retired, and widowed samurai on his duties. Takura was usually away paying court in Toshi no Naishou, so local authority mostly fell on Kuboti.
