Empty Spaces is the fourth track on the album A Thousand Suns. It is an eighteen-second ambient interlude, with noises such as eerie forest echoes, gunfire, explosions and shouting. It segues from Burning In The Skies and serves as an intro to When They Come For Me, with the hi-hat cutting off the ambience.
