On February 11, 1864, Verne Brown was stranded here when he couldn't disable the suitcase conversion mechanism on the DeLorean time machine. He was forced to serve as a drummer boy in the Confederate Army. His father, brother, and friend, Marty McFly, arrived to rescue him from the Battle of Chattanooga that originally took place the next day. However, their plan resulted in General Beauregard Tannen of the Confederate Army and Ulysses S. Clayton of the Union Army coming to a truce, and the battle never took place.
