Ancient Kabeshian was the language spoken throughout the Khanate of Kabesh. It developed from the language of the nomadic people of the central plains of Khul, which in turn came from the civilisation known as the Stargazers. Although now a dead language, its influence can still be ascertained in the languages spoken around the Bays of Xian and Shantak, in the northern city of Kalagar, and even as far south as the Inland Sea.
