DAAL CHEELA In Rajasthan its called as'cheela',while in Haryana'pooda'. Served as snacks and as a whole meal. Ingredients: Moong daal 1 cup Chana daal one-fourth cup Salt 1 tsp. Green chillies 4 Ginger 1 inch Cumin seeds 1 tsp Coriander seeds 1tsp. Asafoetida 1 pinch Garlic 5-6 cloves Dry mango powder(amchoor) half tsp. Refined oil 1tsp. Method: Wash and soak both daals together for 8hrs. in water. Drain and add all ingredients. Make a smooth paste in mixer adding water. Its consistency is like dosa paste. Heat tawa, grease it and pour 1tbsp.of paste. Fry exactly like dosa. Hot and soft cheela with fresh curd or mint-coriander chutney is just delicious. AND OF COURSE! SERVED WITH A SMILE AND LOVE ENHANCES THE TASTE. Dr. Suman Agrawal
