Alex Kurtzman was a character on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He was a writer with Renaissance Pictures. He primarily wrote for the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys with Roberto Orci. This was his first job out of film school, and the pair lived in the janitorial closet of Renaissance. Both Kurtzman and Orci were hired by Liz Friedman, who used to baby-sit for them when she was in highschool.
