Lt. Commander Chris Hillary was the second-in-command of the SLV-111 Daedalus. Due to the shortage of pilots, he was assigned to a Destroid Spartan, and in his role he was responsible for providing death notifications to family. He and most of his team were killed shortly before the SDF-1's return to Earth. His death came when he charged at an Officer Battlepod. He was later given a burial at sea.
