HMS Hercules was a 74-gun third rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 15 March 1759 at Deptford Dockyard. The ship took part in the Battle of the Saintes on the 12th April 1782 against a French fleet, where she suffered 6 killed and 18 wounded. She was the third ship in the part of the British line of battle which broke the enemy's line astern of the French flagship Ville de Paris. She was sold out of the service in 1784.
