Jim Parker co-wrote with Arnold Margolin five episodes of The Andy Griffith Show. He also wrote episodes of "The Smothers Brothers Show", "My Mother the Car", "That Girl", "Love American Style" (for which received two Emmy Award nominations), "Mary Tyler Moore", "Welcome Back Kotter", "Love Sidney" (one Emmy nomination), "Mama's Family", "Cheers", "The Love Boat", "Silver Spoons", "Perfect Strangers" and "Charles in Charge". He also co-wrote the screenplay for the Disney film Snowball Express.
