The Battle of Naporar was a major engagement of the conquest of the Chiss Ascendancy and the first time the Golden Empire launched a troop invasion of an Ascendancy system beyond petty raids. After several raids on Chiss systems to draw out the CEDF forces at Naporar, Rin Sakaros sensed the system was at its weakest and authorized the attack. Tariun Sakaros divided the fleet into several smaller commands, all of which strewed gravity mines into space light years out from Naporar in all directions except for a single planned escape corridor. With reinforcements thus delayed, the Royal fleet surged toward Naporar from all sides.
