Astrapions, also Electro Elementals or Thunder Elementals, are the manifestation of the quasi-elemental principle of electricity, such as found in lightning, but also machinery. Encountered in the Lilisette Ruins part of Surt Ruins, by the time they are encountered in the story, these weak enemies are usually easily dispatched with no more than two physical attacks. They are encountered either alone or in a troop with an Ancient Mine. * * Electro Elementals have a unique form of gradual rage that will allow even Lv. 1 Electro Elementals to cast Spark IX when fought long enough.
