The Tahl are a nomadic people who live east of the Stormwal Mountains, in a region known as the Tahlenwald. It is said that their people do not have warriors but instead sang songs. They are also rumored to have the ability to heal the sick and make the trees dance with their voices. While in Ademre, Kvothe discovers that the Tahl may cure many ailments including forms of venereal disease. When Kvothe is asked where he would go if he could go anywhere in the world, he expresses his interest to go to the Tahlenwald and meet the notorious singers and learn what he could.
