Yahzed is the minor god of righteousness and repentance who hates sorceresses. At the end of The Woman Who Rides Like a Man, Alanna and Coram save a sorceress, who was a friend of Halef Seif, from a priest of Yahzed. The priest had claimed that the sorceress was responsible for the hardship the town had lately experienced and that Yahzed demanded her as a sacrifice.
