Kain Returns is a 2016 American horror slasher film directed by Samuel Bayer once again. It is the sequel to 2014's smash hit, Kain and second entry in the Kain series. Eric Heisserer reprised to write the screenplay. Michael Bay returns in the producer role. The story continues two years after the events of the first film and the return of the serial killer Kain who begins another killing spree wanting to make sure Lori and everyone in Lori's life is dead. Dreamworks and Platnum Dunes now holds the rights to the Kain series.
