Artho the Unmoving is the Minor God of Tradition. Celebrating tradition and the old ways, a few crusty old men and women keep stone idols of Artho on their person. This way, whenever they confront some development or change that they perceive threatens the moral fibre of Middenland, they yank out the idol to remind others of the values and customs Middenlanders ought to abide by—and if their protests fall on deaf ears, the idol serves as a useful club.[1a]
