As Michelangelo Hamato struggles to write his latest book, Raphael Hamato is contacted by Davianna Wallace who still believes him to be the reincarnation of Augustus Amherst, the former identity of Renoir whom Raph has started impersonating in Davianna's presence. When Raph and Davianna meet up, she asks him to redo a report she had done with Augustus on a book that coincidentally was Mikey's first published book, Dishonor, Despair, Sorrow and Illusions, written under his pen name Mikael Buonarotti. But Raph's fury at his brother is unleashed when he realizes that the book is actually a story about four brothers who cause their father's death.
