Membrosia, also known as bug juice, was the Killik equivalent of spice, alcohol, and marijuana. It tasted and smelled revolting, but insects all around the galaxy loved it. If an individual consumed too much membrosia, they would get assimilated into the Killik hives. Despite the drink's popularity, few knew that it was actually diluted Killik urine. Five of the Chiss ruling families got addicted to membrosia and were subsequently removed from power. Several Jedi of the New Jedi Order also became bugaholics, which started the Swarm War.
