The Muse is the student journal for Memorial University, and an enormous drain on the time of anyone who works there. These people include poliners Phil Howell and Kathryn Curran, as well as associates Kerri Breen, Sheena Goodyear, Mark Cluett, Alex Bill, John Rieti, Angie Barrington, Anshuman Idamsetty, and Adam Riggio, among others. The Muse contributes to 12 Polina Road social life by often gathering its staff at ridiculous parties, particularly during ARCUP conferences when they are held in St. John's, and by ratcheting up the level of angst Phil Howell feels towards people with pretentious musical taste to an almost unbearable level.
