Meyj Dhuj was a Sullustan moisture farmer who lived on the Outer Rim planet Tatooine. Born on Sullust, Meyj worked as a clerk for the SoroSuub Corporation as a young man. While living on Sullust, Meyj met his future wife, Jae. After witnessing the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Meyj retired from corporate life and took his wife to Tatooine to begin life as a moisture farmer. He was a prominent member of the so-called Starseeker Commune, founded and informally run by the human, Raede Starseeker.
