Showa Phase 1 features the first seven protagonist Kamen Riders. The Double Riders: Takeshi Hongo (Rider 1) and Hayato Ichimonji (Rider 2), from the original series. Shiro Kazami, the eponymous protagonist of Kamen Rider V3, which also featured Joji Yuki (Riderman). Keisuke Jin, the eponymous protagonist of Kamen Rider X, Amazon, the eponymous protagonist of Kamen Rider Amazon, and Shigeru Jo, the eponymous protagonist of Kamen Rider Stronger. Today they are known as the Seven Legendary Riders, and were grouped as such in the Heisei movies Movie War Mega Max and Super Hero Taisen. Another staple of phase 1 is the supporting character Tobei Tachibana, who appeared in vast majority of episodes and specials across all five series, totalling 240 episodes.
