Maplewood Park and Recreation Center (at the site of the old Boone Chemical Factory): With its playing fields, basketball courts, bocce pitch, and activities hut, Maplewood Park is a testament to the possibilities of reclaimed industrial wasteland. Thanks to the tireless work of the Pawnee Department of Parks and Recreation and the Indiana Department of Chemical, Biological, and Radiation Safety, Maplewood Park has been transformed from a Federal Superfund Site to one Super Fun Park! The only thing leaking out of this park is a good time!
