Carter McKay a nemisis of J.R. Ewing, appears in the latter seasons of the CBS-TV series Dallas, played by George Kennedy from 1988 to 1991; he makes his debut appearance in the episode "Carousel" in Season 12, eventually appearing in a total of 74 episodes in the series. The character reappeared in the two CBS-TV reunion movies Dallas: J.R. Returns (1996) and Dallas:War of the Ewings (1998), again played by Kennedy.
