The Painter (unknown - 1497) was a Florentine nobleman and one of Girolamo Savonarola's nine lieutenants, men who he empowered to control the citizens of Florence, during the Bonfire of the Vanities. As with so many others, Savonarola used the Apple of Eden to control him.
