The Serene Prince of Cornaro, simply known as either the Serene Prince or as the Prince, was the chief magistrate and the leader of the Serene Republic of Cornaro. The office was an elected one, with the elections being held each twenty years, with no limit on renewal of the holder's re-election. Together with the other four faction leaders, the Serene Prince was a member of the Council of the Praesidium. The current holder of the position is Nicholas Spinola.
