Lord Shojo (1111 - 1184) was the leader of the Sapphire Guard of Paladins and secular ruler of Azure City for 47 years. His father, Ronjo, was given the former position by Soon Kim, making him the third leader in its history. He was the uncle of Hinjo, who was heir apparent to Azure City prior to Shojo's death. Shojo was killed by one of his own paladins, Miko Miyazaki, when she took the law into her own hands, an act which caused the Twelve Gods to strip her of her paladin powers.
