Karen Yeager (nee Culpepper) was the wife of Jonathan Yeager. The two began to date in high school in the 1960s, when they were both deeply into Race Mimicking. They went to UCLA afterwards. However, Jonathan's studies were put on hold when he was trapped on the Race starship, 127th Emperor Hetto, in orbit during the Race-German War of 1965. While there, he had a fling with Kassquit. Although a bit miffed by this, Karen married Jonathan soon after the explosive-metal bombing of Indianapolis and the suicide of President Earl Warren, both of which were blamed by the public on Jonathan's father Sam Yeager.
